During the Spring and almost until Autumn turns to winter, flea markets and second-hand markets are a colourful part of the picture in Copenhagen. Here are a few from Copenhagen and the suburbs.
The Frederiksberg Flea Market is known for always having a wide selection of home furnishing and second-hand clothes. Located at the rear of Frederiksberg City Hall, the market takes place every Saturday from April 7th until October 20th, 09:00 – 15:00 hrs.
Centrally located in the Østerbro district, the Remisen Flea Market is a much-varied market: some weekends the focus is on second-hand clothing, other weekends the selection on offer is much wider ranging. The market is open every other weekend on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 16:00 hrs.
Adjacent to the Charlottenlund Station, Gentofte Flea Market is one of the most popular markets in the Copenhagen area – there is usually an excellent selection of clothing, furniture and home decor from which to find a bargain. The market is open every Sunday, from April 8th to October 7th, 08:00 – 14:00 hrs.
Søllerød Flea Market is one of the smaller markets, right next to Holte Station (20 minutes by train from Copenhagen). Size however doesn’t detract from the selection of goods available – clothes, home furnishing and other items you could not possibly live without! The market is open every Sunday, from April 8th to October 7th, 08:00 – 14:00 hrs.
Veras genbrugsmarked (Vera’s Second Hand Market) is open all year round in Copenhagen. The market primarily sells clothes, shoes and accessories for both men and women. During the winter months, you find the market in the Westmarket from 11:00 – 16:00 hrs. During the summer, it translocates to Bispeengbuen, where it is open from April 29th, 10:00 – 15:00 hrs.
At Tradono Market you can find a treasure trove of good buys – clothes, shoes and accessories. The “booth holders” are bloggers and the users are often instagrammers or similar. It is possible to try on the items before buying. Tradono Market is held on Sundays every third month.
